State Sen. Declan O'Scanlon (R-13th District) is back on Twitter after the social media platform suspended his account on Saturday.
It followed a tweet where the state senator voiced his opinion – saying that there was “no reason anyone should feel compelled to take the [COVID-19] vaccine.”
He also called restrictions, mandates and vaccine passports “uncalled for.”
The New Jersey GOP defended O’Scanlon, saying that it was an “appalling suppression of free speech.”
O’Scanlon responded in part: "That that tweet somehow triggered an algorithm, or worse some hyper-sensitive Twitter employee with an agenda...is outrageous.”
