New Jersey officials are warning the state's students about the “Skull Breaker Challenge” on TikTok.
The challenge involves two people tripping a third person as he or she jumps in the air, causing the person in the middle to fall hard on the ground.
A student from Cherry Hill Middle School in Westfield was hospitalized last week from the challenge.
TikTok is a social media app that allows users to make short videos, typically set to music. There have been several controversies surrounding the app, including security concerns due to the fact that the app is owned by a Chinese company.
The Transportation Security Administration recently announced that employees would no longer be using the app in the agency's social media outreach after Sen. Chuck Schumer sent a letter expressing security concerns.
