One New Jersey business is closed today in solidarity with the victims of Barcelona.
The owners of Tapeo Restaurant on Route 35 in Hazlet tell News 12 they have close ties to the city.
Co-owner Tony Martinez owns a cooking school just a block away from where the van plowed into pedestrians Thursday when 13 people were killed and more than 100 were hurt.
He says his concern is not for his business but for his students and staff.
"Unfortunately there's about 20 percent of the people who haven't responded back to us,” says Martinez. “And that's frankly what we're most concerned about. Have they been affected by this, are they safe, do they need help?”
Martinez went on to say that Barcelona is a very safe and well protected city, and that the world needs to continue traveling and refusing to let terrorism win.
