Parents in the Garden State are giving thumbs down to the idea of switching to a four-day school week to save money.School districts in about 17 states have switched to the schedule and lawmakers in other states are considering the plan.Parents say their main concern would be how to care for their children if they work during the day. Other parents say they would be against the plan because children already have a hard time learning everything they need to learn in five days. Some studies have found that a four-day school week would help test scores since children would have an extra day to study.
