NJ man sentenced in scheme to illegally resell nearly $50 million in cancer drugs
Federal prosecutors say former wholesale drug distributor manager fraudulently obtained medications through doctors' practices and resold them for profit.

An Englishtown man has been sentenced to 30 months in federal prison for participating in a scheme that fraudulently obtained nearly $50 million worth of prescription medications, including cancer drugs, and resold them for profit, U.S. Attorney Robert Frazer announced Tuesday.
Frank Incognito, 46, was sentenced July 29 after previously pleading guilty to conspiracy to unlawfully resell prescription drugs purchased through doctors' medical practices under false pretenses.
According to federal prosecutors, Incognito worked for several years as an operations manager at wholesale drug distributor VRC Medical Services and Investigational Drug Delivery, businesses based in Sewaren.
Prosecutors said Incognito conspired with others at the company and multiple physicians to obtain expensive oncology, ophthalmology and other biologic medications by falsely representing that the drugs were being purchased to treat the doctors' own patients. Instead, authorities said, the medications were resold to the company's customers for profit.
The drugs included cold-chain biologic infusion medications commonly used to treat cancer, macular degeneration and autoimmune diseases.
The scheme operated from about June 2012 through January 2019 and involved more than $47.7 million in prescription drugs, according to prosecutors.
Incognito is the third defendant sentenced in the case, following doctors Anise Kachadourian and Joel Lerner.
