Jersey Buzz: New Jersey's Hall of Fame voting now open; Jimi Hendrix tribute coming to Middlesex County

In Thursday’s Buzz, voting is now open for New Jersey’s Hall of Fame class of 2023; The Boxmasters band is bringing their tour to Millville; and a Jimi Hendrix cover band will perform in Carteret.

Time to vote for New Jersey's Hall of Fame

Voting is now open for the 2023 class of New Jersey's Hall of Fame. The list includes former “Sexiest Man Alive” Paul Rudd, the current first lady Jill Biden, prime minister of funk George Clinton and late chef Anthony Bourdain. Brian Depalma, Tony Orlando and Tiki Barber are also among the 50 nominees in five categories. Voting for the public is open until Friday, May 19. To vote, click here.

The Boxmasters tour coming to Cumberland County

Billy Bob Thornton, who is best known for his roles in "Sling Blade" and "Bad Santa," is also a musician. The Academy-award winning actor and his rock band The Boxmasters have been together for 16 years. The band will bring their tour to the Levoy Theatre in Millville on Wednesday, June 21 where they will promote their new music. 

The music of Jimi Hendrix live in Carteret

Fans of Jimi Hendrix will be able to experience his legendary music at the Carteret Performing Arts Center. Kiss The Sky, a Jimi Hendrix cover band, will explore Hendrix’s career through the legendary Woodstock era. The show in Carteret is Saturday at 8 p.m.
