Family and friends gathered Tuesday to say goodbye to the two Montclair girls allegedly killed at the hands of their own father.
Police say Megan and Kelly Reilly's father, Thomas, may have drowned the two girls in the bathtub before hanging himself last week. The girls' mother, Theresa Reilly, dropped them off with their father at a Claremont Avenue home. Theresa Reilly alerted police hours after leaving the girls, ages 6 and 5, when she was unable to get an answer at the door or on the phone.
In the meantime, a community bereavement forum will be held at Our Lady of the Lake auditorium at 8 p.m. Wednesday. The forum is designed to educate parents and others on how to support children following a tragedy.
