An eagle-eyed News 12 New Jersey viewer has helped the New Jersey State Police track down an alleged boat thief.
On Wednesday, New Jersey State Police released surveillance photos of a man who they believed stole a boat called "Babycakes" from the Irwin Marina in Red Bank. The boat was found a week later at the Belmar Marina and almost everything inside was stolen.
After the story aired on News 12 New Jersey, a viewer identified the man as Jason Corliss.
State police have confirmed Corliss is the man they are looking for. Corliss is a registered sex offender and is currently in custody at the Camden County Jail on an unrelated charge.
