New Jersey’s Black Heritage Trail is now under development.
There will soon be markers honoring Black history at landmarks throughout the state.
Gov. Phil Murphy signed the law to create this trail last September. It was first introduced by New Jersey’s only Black Republican lawmaker – state Assembly Member Antwan McClellan.
News 12’s Alex Zdan spoke to McClellan about the effort to get this law passed, as well as his experiences that led him to pursue politics as a career path.
