It was a tragic ending to the search for a missing submersible near the wreckage of the Titanic.
Officials say that it appears that the craft imploded several days ago deep in the Atlantic Ocean, killing the five people inside. They say that the deaths were immediate.
News 12 New Jersey spoke with Charles Haas, president of the Titanic International Society. Haas is an author and historian and has made two trips to the Titanic site in the 1990s.
