5h agoNews 12 Meteorologist Alex Calamia was named one of Blank Media’s 40 Under 40.
Calamia is an Emmy Award-winning broadcast meteorologist for News 12 Long Island and the creator and host of the Garden Guide segment.
Before he started working with News 12 in June 2022, Calamia worked in Florida and South Carolina. He realized he could use his platform as a meteorologist to inspire people to grow “beautiful, tasty gardens,” according to Blank Slate Media.
“I wake up every morning excited for work because I know I am here for a reason. It’s the feeling that fuels me and it’s why I approach my job with creativity and give every day my best,” Calamia said.
The annual event recognizes rising leaders in their field on Long Island.
