Newburgh school closed today after 4 teens shot

For the second time this week, a Hudson Valley school is closed due to gun violence near campus.
The Newburgh Free Academy is telling students to stay home today as police investigate a shooting nearby that injured four teens.
In a message from the school posted Wednesday night, district leaders say the closure is out of an "abundance of caution in response to an incident that occurred in the community."
Police say four teens, ranging in age from 16 to 18, were hurt after shots were fired in the city at multiple locations.
They say the incident started as a dispute that spanned five blocks on William Street. Video shot by a witness shows dozens of people scrambling to safety as 10 gunshots were fired.
Three were shot in the leg. Another was hit in the stomach. All those who were hit are in stable condition. No word yet on any suspects or motive.
Meanwhile, Poughkeepsie High School is closed again today after a shooting outside the school on Monday.
District leaders say they will start a phased reopening tomorrow.
Police there say a 13-year-old was arrested and is facing gun charges in connection with that incident.
