Officials say some Newark residents barely escaped a fast-moving fire this afternoon and now some of them have been left homeless.
The fire made its way through the second and third floors of a house on South 19th Street. Half a dozen people escaped from the blaze.
Witnesses say the the fire broke out after 1 p.m.
It's not clear what sparked the fire, but some witnesses said they heard a loud boom before the flames started shooting out.
