The Newark Police Department is hoping the public can identify a man accused of stealing packages off a porch in the city.

The theft happened on Oct. 8 at a home on the 200 block of Muhammad Ali Avenue.

Officials say the suspect has a dark complexion and was seen wearing a black hoodie, black pants, white Air Force sneakers and a green beanie cap.

Anyone who may recognize the man is urged to call the Newark police tip line at 1-877-NWK-TIPS.
