Newark police seek public’s help identifying burglary suspect

Newark officials are trying to identify a woman believed to be connected to a burglary that happened Monday at Lincoln Park near Washington Street.

Officials say the woman left an office at 8:55 a.m. holding a white bag with multiple items. They say she returned at 10:33 a.m. and then left with a laptop.

The woman is described as Black, 5 feet 4 inches tall and 160 pounds, has long dreadlocks and wearing a royal blue jacket hooded sweater, royal blue leggings with swirl designs, a black face mask and gray sneakers.

Anyone with information should call the police division's 24-hour crime stopper tip line at 1-877-NWK-TIPS (1-877-695-8477).
