Newark Liberty International Airport is experiencing flight delays this Labor Day afternoon after a ground stop was lifted.
The Federal Aviation Administration announced Monday afternoon that a traffic management program is in effect for arriving flights.
The agency said the program "is causing some arriving flights to be delayed an average of 47 minutes."
It was not immediately known what led to the ground stop.
