New photos and video show how a massive fire tore through an abandoned chemical factory and sent thick smoke into the sky in Paterson.
The fire burned late Friday night before crews were able to bring it under control around 5:30 a.m. Saturday.
Firefighters from multiple departments responded and worked for hours to knock down the flames.
Crews faced several challenges while battling the fire, including dead hydrants, low water pressure and a broken gas line inside the building.
No injuries were reported.
A hazardous materials team was on scene to check air quality, the mayor said.
Officials continue working at the site.
