Testing begins next month.
According to details of the trial, participants, healthy people ages 18 and older across nearly 180 locations, will be randomly selected to receive the potential vaccine or placebo. This will help determine whether the vaccine is safe and effective.
The phase three trial would be the largest test of a coronavirus vaccine yet.
