New Jersey is set to receive nearly $90 million in federal funding to repair and replace damage from past disasters, according to officials.
The funds are being awarded through FEMA and will be distributed to several counties and agencies across the state.
More than $59 million will go to Essex and Union counties to repair a wastewater treatment facility damaged during Hurricane Sandy.
The Passaic Valley Sewerage Commission will receive nearly $10 million as part of the funding.
Warren County is set to receive more than $5 million for repairs to roads damaged by storms in 2023.
Jersey City will receive more than $2 million for work involving the city’s utility authority.
