New Jersey State police are working hard to keep the roads safe during new year’s celebrations.

Authorities advise celebrators to designate a non-drinking driver and use local cab and ride sharing apps for safe transportation.

The police department is also increasing their forces to 53 officers on duty in the hopes of preventing fatal accidents.
