Health officials announced Tuesday that a 79-year-old Hudson County woman is the state's fifth swine flu-related death.
According to officials, the woman was hospitalized June 15 with symptoms of the flu. The victim reportedly had underlying medical conditions. Officials say she died June 19 at Bayonne Medical Center.
The state health department says there are currently at least 568 confirmed cases of swine flu in the state.
