Some New Jersey lawmakers have an eye on making magic mushrooms legal — and not just to treat mental health but also for recreational use.
A proposed bill was introduced to allow the production and selling of products with the key chemical in psychedelic mushrooms. This has been in the works for months.
The bill would authorize the production and use of psilocybin to promote health and wellness. It would also decriminalize and expunge past offenses involving psilocybin production, possession, use and distribution.
Magic mushrooms have already hit the market in Oregon and Colorado.
