A church in Somerset County served up free pancakes to celebrate Fat Tuesday and to help benefit homeless veterans.
Pluckemin Presbyterian Church in Bedminster made hundreds of pancakes for dinner. While the pancakes are free, the church was also collecting toiletries for homeless veterans.
“At Pluckemin Presbyterian Church, our mission is to be a hub of caring in the community and we thought what better way to help the community than to offer them a free pancake dinner as they get ready to enter Lent,” says church member Chris Staffin.
The church will be collecting the personal care items until Saturday.
