The 2024 presidential election is just weeks away, and the Union County Board of Elections is working around the clock to get prepared.
Election officials for the county say that they have seen everyone from first-time voters to people moving into the county and needing to register.
The office is getting many questions, such as how to vote by mail, what is on the sample ballot and how to use voting machines.
"The stream of folks coming into the door has been pretty steady, the phone calls have been steady,” says administrator Nicole DiRado. “I think folks are aware of what’s happening, that the presidential weekend weeks ago, and they are eager and on top of it.”
The voter registration deadline ended on Tuesday. Early voting begins on Saturday, Oct. 26.
