Amid the recent market turmoil, some smaller banks in New Jersey say that business is thriving.
Hudson City Savings Bank President and CEO Ron Hermance says that low sub-prime exposure has been a key to his bank?s success. Hermance also stated that personal customer service is paramount.
New Jersey resident Irene Johnson says that banking with an in-state company just feels more secure.
Hermance says he has seen record profits for the past 10 years in a row with his stocks up 22 percent just this year.
