Water restrictions have been lifted in parts of Monmouth and Ocean counties.
New Jersey American Water issued the restrictions for 40 municipalities on Sunday. People were asked not to water lawns, fill pools or wash their cars due to a broken water valve and an effort to conserve water.
The company says that the valve has been fixed at the treatment plant in Neptune. It was not clear why the valve broke.
All restrictions have been lifted.
