A new restaurant in Hoboken honors one of the city's most famous residents.
Blue Eyes opened Friday afternoon in Sinatra Park, named for famed musician Frank Sinatra.
The building itself is owned by the city. The restaurant owners are all from Italy. They submitted the winning bid and will pay rent to the city.
Blue Eyes serves Italian cuisine.
The lease payments for the building will go to the city's open space trust fund.
