A Baptist church in Passaic is doing its part to help those in need.
Mount Pilgrim Missionary Baptist Church opened a food pantry last week. It is designed to operate like a supermarket. Those who will use the pantry can shop for canned food, poultry and vegetables.
"The outpour has been great. We are starting to get what we do out there in the community - in the city. So, we've had a great representation coming through,” says Pastor Pamela Saille.
The pantry will also host chefs and nutritionists who will show people how to cook healthy meals for themselves.
