New Fairfield man faces manslaughter charge in fatal stabbing
A New Fairfield man is facing a manslaughter charge in connection to a stabbing Saturday night at a home.
According to Connecticut State Police, troopers and officers from the New Fairfield Police Department responded to 2 Hillview Drive East for a report of an active assault.
James Knapp, 65, of Sandy Hook, was found with a stab wound to his chest and transported to Danbury Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
Patrick Griffin, 59, was also transported to Danbury Hospital and later taken into custody and charged with manslaughter.
Authorities have not released any other information about the incident.
He's being held on a $1,000,000 cash bond and is expected to be arraigned on Monday.
