A New Brunswick man accused of ramming his car into a police cruiser is facing attempted murder charges.

Authorities say the incident happened last month at the Hotel Vincenza in South Brunswick.

An officer was pinned in the crash and broke his ankle.

Police say they had been investigating Luis Duval-Jimenez for car thefts and fraud at the time.

The collision occurred as officers were attempting to arrest him.
