A New Brunswick church is giving the homeless a place to get out of the bitter cold temperatures Sunday.The Presbyterian Church on Livingston Avenue serves as an emergency shelter on bitter cold nights. They provide a warm snack and safe place to sleep. However, with only 15 beds, their space is limited. The church?s services are in addition to another shelter in town that provides 40 beds to those less fortunate.Advocates estimate there are 25,000 homeless people living in New Jersey. Temperatures are predicted to drop below zero this week and shelters are urging the homeless to take advantage of services offered to them.
