Neighbors are stepping up to help clean a Morris County grandmother’s property after the woman received a nasty letter in her mailbox.
The grandmother from Landing is taking care of her 10-year-old grandaughter while her twin brother is in the hospital battling cancer. She says that she has been busy dealing with the health issues so she hasn't been able to take care of her yard.
The grandmother received an anonymous letter in her mailbox from a neighbor criticizing the condition of the yard. “Clean your property,” the note said.
Other neighbors found out about the nasty note and put up signs explaining the situation. “I pray next year my priorities are as simple as leaves and twigs.”
The neighbors will also come out Tuesday to clean the property.
