Nearly 10 cars were found on fire in a South Amboy parking lot early Monday morning, according to authorities.
Eight or nine vehicles were found in the lot off Main Street, according to the South Amboy Fire Chief John Dragotta. The parking lot services a number of local businesses in the township.
Dragotta said it took firefighters nearly an hour to get the fires under control.
“There is camera footage. They are going to be reviewing the footage with the police department right now with our arson team and our county fire marshal,” he said.
Officials say all of the cars damaged were company cars for the medical transportation company Galaxy Ambulance.
