National Weather Service confirms at least 6 tornadoes touched down in NJ

Tornadoes were confirmed in Cinnaminson, Crosswicks, Cream Ridge, Jackson, Howell and Sea Girt.

The National Weather Service has confirmed that six tornadoes touched down in New Jersey during Saturday’s severe weather.
All of the twisters were in the southern half of the state.
Tornadoes were confirmed in Cinnaminson, Crosswicks, Cream Ridge, Jackson, Howell and Sea Girt. The worst tornado was in Jackson Township. It was classified as an EF-2 tornado with wind speeds of up to 130 mph.
All of the tornadoes left major damage in their wake.
Saturday’s storm brought on some of the most tornadoes in one day in New Jersey. There were six tornadoes in the Garden State on July 29, 2021.
The most tornadoes in one day in New Jersey were seven on Nov. 16, 1989.
