(AP) - Health officials say a mumps outbreak inNew Jersey is linked to a recent outbreak in Brooklyn, N.Y. About 30 people in Lakewood, who range in age from 1 to 40 yearsold, have come down with the disease in the last two weeks. The Ocean County Health Department says the cases have beenprimarily contained to one section of the township and some ofthose infected may have come into contact with each other. Healthofficials say most had been fully vaccinated against the disease. Symptoms include fever, headache, fatigue and swelling of thesalivary glands. Mumps can be spread through sneezes, coughs and exchanges ofsalivary fluid.
