A woman from Neptune says she feared for her life when live electrical wires came crashing down on to her windshield.
The wires sparked along Route 138 east just off East Hurley Pond Road. It happened just after 10 p.m.
The woman is physically OK.
Police arrived to make sure everyone avoided the wires until the issue was dealt with.
In a statement, Wall Township police said that “prior to the roadway being closed, thirteen vehicles drove into the low-hanging wires, resulting in cracked or shattered windshields. Two occupants reported minor injuries; one was transported to Jersey Shore University Medical Center.”
There is no word on what caused the wires to come crashing down.
