Several buildings were evacuated in Mount Hope Tuesday after residents reported a gas odor. 

The fire department rushed to the scene after tenants on Anthony Avenue called Con Edison. 

Con Ed says that crews found a gas leak on a service line that goes into an abandoned building on the street. 

Those evacuated were allowed to return home after the leak was repaired.
