Motor vehicle stops lead to 4 arrests on weapons, drug charges

Two men from Newark, as well as two men from Irvington, are facing weapons and drug charges stemming from two separate motor vehicle stops.

Two men from Newark, as well as two men from Irvington, are facing weapons and drug charges stemming from two separate motor vehicle stops.
According to police, Al-Taariq Crenshaw, 21, and Samory Wilson, 18, both of Irvington, and Tyree Dwyer, 21, and Dashaun Merritt, 21, both of Newark, were all arrested.
The arrests came Wednesday during two separate motor vehicle stops in Newark.
In both cases, drugs were found inside the cars, as well as three loaded handguns.
According to Newark police, they recovered 25 handguns in the last 24 days.
