A Bronx mother is recovering from fractured ribs and broken bones after being struck by a car in a hit-and-run Wednesday night in Throgs Neck.
Kenia Suarez was crossing Throgs Neck Boulevard and Harding Avenue to pick up her niece when she was hit. Surveillance video, exclusively obtained by News 12 shows a black car speeding from the scene.
"It's horrible to think a human being would leave someone on the floor dying," said Sebastian, her father-in-law.
The family urges the driver to come forward, calling the incident reckless. They say any attention from the community helps.
