Google has released its annual list of America’s most misspelled words for 2017.
According to the new data, New Jersey residents need help when it comes to spelling the word “twelve.” In 2016, the most “how to spell” searched word in the Garden State was “February.”
Other notables this year include Wisconsin residents needing help spelling “Wisconsin;” “nanny” for Mississippians; and the hardest word for New Hampshire is “diarrhea.”
Ironically, Google made a spelling error itself when first releasing the list. Google Trends first tweeted out a map of the most misspelled words with “ninety” spelled as “nintey.”
The search engine puts together its list on the eve of the Scripps National Spelling Bee, which is happening this week in Washington, D.C.
