The owner of a karate dojo in Flanders was sentenced for criminal sexual contact, according to Morris County Prosecutor Robert J. Carroll.
Authorities say Raymond Ziesse, who owns the Mount Olive Karate Academy, had a sexual relationship with an adult student with cognitive and developmental disabilities.
The 52-year-old Chester resident was indicted in December 2023 on charges. Officials say the sexual conduct is alleged to have occurred at the dojo between May 2018 and August 2018.
Ziesse pleaded guilty to one count of criminal sexual contact in the fourth degree on Feb. 9. He received a sentence of two years of probation on March 15.
