A Morris County gym is not letting the weight of the coronavirus pandemic get them down.
Gyms across New Jersey have been closed since mid-March because of the virus, including NBD Training Zone in Morristown.
“COVID, in general, has been pretty brutal for our business,” says owner Chris Jones.
NBD stands for “No Body Denied.” Jones says that the gym is all about helping people transform their bodies and their health.
The gym is now offering one-on-one training sessions – as per Gov. Phil Murphy’s executive order surrounding how gyms can operate, along with other options.
“We are so grateful that during this time we found outlets such as online personal training and then outside personal training,” says manager and Pilates instructor Chastity Hampstead.
NBD staff also takes the proper safety precautions to prevent the spread of the virus.
“Before the shutdown even happened, we started taking extreme precautions,” Hampstead says – such as more sanitization, a limit on people, temperature checks and mask requirements.
“We are extremely eager to get our business back up and running,” says Jones.
The one-on-one sessions are by appointment only.
