A historic building in Montclair reopened its doors after nearly a decade of sitting vacant.
Lackawanna Station is now the newest destination for food, art, shopping and community. From food to jewelry and art and games – 20 small businesses are now open and selling their products.
The space acts as an incubator for small businesses looking to test and share their products with the public.
The former railroad terminal has sat vacant since 2015. It played an important part in the community at the time.
Now, after breathing new life into the building, the hope is to bring that back to the space.
"We just want this to be a community hub where people can spend the whole day, find something to do and just feel welcome. We want this to be as welcoming of a community as possible,” says market coordinator Georgia Varidakis Simoes.
Lackawanna Station is open seven days a week from 10 a.m. until 8 p.m.
