Montclair woman accused of running unlicensed veterinarian clinic in Totowa
A Montclair woman is facing several charges after authorities say she allegedly ran an unlicensed veterinarian clinic in Totowa.
The Passaic County Prosecutor’s Offices says that Alia Muslih ran the Totowa Animal Hospital out of the Seven Star Pet Resort located at 140 Furler St. Officials say that Muslih ran both businesses and created “a false impression that she was a licensed veterinarian.”
But according to the New Jersey Board of Veterinarian Medicine, Muslih is not a licensed veterinarian, and the Totowa Animal Hospital is not a licensed clinic.
Muslih was charged with theft by deception, corporate misconduct, animal cruelty and unlicensed possession of prescription drugs.
