A man from Montclair was charged with sexually assaulting a 28-year-old person at a Secaucus hotel on the Meadowlands Parkway in September 2022, according to Hudson County prosecutors.

Prosecutors say Fokam Parfait, 25, sexually assaulted the person he met through an online dating app. The person sustained head and facial injuries and was prevented from leaving the hotel room during the assault, according to prosecutors.

Parfait faces several charges, including aggravated sexual assault and kidnapping. Prosecutors say he was arrested at the Bergen County Jail, where he is currently being detained on similar charges.
