The Monroe High School and Lehman High School baseball teams, both ranked at the top of their divisions, met on the field Wednesday in a battle for Bronx bragging rights.
Monroe's Dawin Rivas was solid throughout the game. His complete-game, five-hit effort helped fuel his team to an 8-1 victory. Rivas also struck out four on the day.
Monroe is first in the PSAL's Bronx East A Division and Lehman is first in the Bronx West A Division.
