(AP) - Police say a 3-year-old New Jersey girl whowas abducted from a thrift store in Elizabeth has been found, apparently unharmed.
Lt. Garry Lewis of Elizabeth Police tells The Star-Ledger of Newark that the suspected kidnapper, 54-year-old Yvonne B. Alexander, has been arrested by Rahway police.
Lewis says a tip from a witness who knew Alexander led police tothe suspect and child.
A security camera recorded a woman in a "bushy black wig" removing the toddler around 11 a.m. Thursday from the toy section of the Unique Thrift Shop as the girl's mother shopped nearby.
According to the newspaper, store employees said Alexander has been visiting the thrift store on a daily basis.
