A passenger of U.S. Airways Flight 1549 visited the Garden State recently to share her story.
Emma Sophina, a singer from Australia, says the near-death experience helped her realize how important life is. ?Each day is such a gift and we're only on this Earth for such a short amount of time,? she says.
It?s been five months since the flight, now known as the ?Miracle on the Hudson?, landed on the river, but Sophina says she still can?t believe it happened.
Sophina says flying since the dramatic landing hasn?t been a pleasant experience, but that she won?t let anything hold her back. She has moved to New York and recently signed a record deal.
