First responders in Middle Township, Cape May County are being hailed as heroes for saving the life of a baby.

The call happened on Nov. 28, but officials have just released police body camera video.

Police say they got a 911 call about a 1-week-old baby girl who was unconscious and unresponsive.

Officials say Patrolman Chris Rudy rushed to the scene to help the baby’s mother who was performing CPR. Police say the child was blue and cold to the touch.

Police say after Rudy finished another round of CPR, the baby began to regain consciousness.

EMTs arrived shortly after and confirmed the baby had a pulse and took her to the hospital.
