A New Jersey Vietnam veteran, missing in action for 35 years, can now finally be laid to rest.
Air Force Capt. Stephen Rusch, of Lambertville, was shot down over Laos in 1972. Decades later, a military search team finally found the crash site and recovered some of his remains. Rusch?s family members say finding his remains gave them a sense of closure.
The search team could only recover two of Rusch?s teeth. However, his daughter Sharon says that is enough to help her say good-bye. Sharon, who is now an Air Force colonel stationed in Florida, was only 6 years old when her father went missing.
Rusch?s funeral is scheduled for Friday at Arlington National Cemetery.
